An elections supervisor says Ryan Call, legal counsel for the state Republican Party, illegally voted in Denver last year after he had moved to Arapahoe County.
Florence Sebern said she filed the complaint with the Denver clerk and recorder against a fellow Republican because she believes election laws should be followed, and Call had no business voting in Denver in the general election.
“There is no merit to the complaint,” Call said. “I have moved to Arapahoe County but that doesn’t preclude me from maintaining a legal residence in Denver.”
Call also is chairman of the Denver County Republican Party, a job that ends next week. The chairman of the state Republican Party, Dick Wadhams, said today he had no knowledge of the complaint until contacted by The Denver Post.
Todd Shepherd of CompleteColorado.com posted a copy of the complaint on its Website this afternoon.
Sebern worked last year for Denver as a temporary supervisor for the voter service center.
